Roses And Thorns

I thought that you were my guiding light
Until that day when we had that fight
And from the time that you walked away
My life’s been in complete disarray
I remember things only to forget later
Your loss has made my heart an empty crater
The days are empty, the nights are long
I try to remember our special song
Sweet as sugar, lovely and nice
You had all the virtues, not a single vice
That walking together, those sleepless nights,
That chatting forever, those silly fights
Your sweet voice, your lovely eyes
I wonder if they all were lies
It was a fairy-tale, nothing was wrong
You were a magician you had me spell-bound
Bur slowly and surely, the mask came out
I couldn’t take it, all hell broke out
When I was at the crossroads, you weren’t there for me
You were partying with your friends, so full of glee
You have grown closer to new friends, so you don’t acknowledge me
You couldn’t change yourself, so you never let me be me
You showed your true colors, you never were mine
Loving you was a mistake, I'm still paying a fine
You never loved me, it was just a show
You hit me like a wave, and took me in your flow
Like Jack and Jill I came tumbling down
You killed my smile and gave me a frown
I fell so hard due to your treacherous whack
You could have stabbed my chest, but you preferred my back
Initially I was sorry and full of remorse too,
But then I realized you never were true
You always took the rose and gave me the thorns
The fight was just an excuse you always played along
Our relationship turned out to be of give and take
I always used to give you never ceased to take
I look back to those days with loads of disgust
Because of you I am always filled with mistrust
But mind you me, who did me hurt
My love for you has gone kaput
Now I have replaced my sorrow with laughter
Have nothing else to say to you except hope you live happily ever after.
Love, I agree does make you completely blind
Your heart isn’t yours you always lose your mind
Love makes this possible only if true love you find
Else the pain and sorrow just keeps you in a bind
